Free Film and Fun! Wednesday in Bradford city park.

Bradford UNESCO City of film, will host free Wednesday matinee screenings throughout August 2013.

As part of the City Park summer activities, Bradford UNESCO city of film in partnership with Bradford city Council and City park, is holding a series of free Film and Fun! Wednesday morning screenings, on the Big screen in Bradford city park. Starting on Wednesday 7th August until the end of the month, each screening will have a theme with different activities available before each screening.

Before the film at Park & Read’s there will be a Rhymetime Session, the session runs from 10.00am – 10.45am and they will sing rhymes, play with instruments and generally enjoy making some noise in the library. There will also be  a special dedicated story time to compliment the theme of the day at Park & Read after the film at 1:00pm.

Wednesday 7th August 2013 – 11:30am-1:30pm – Circus – Madagascar 3.

Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still trying to get to their beloved Central Park zoo in New York. They travel to Monte Carlo to find the penguins and King Julian, but whilst there they get spotted by Animal Control. In order to avoid Animal Control and travel through Europe they join the Circus. Will the Animals avoid detection from Animal Control and make it back to New York?

Theme activities:Face painters, Arabesque aerial artists, Bo the Clown with his clown car ,Circus skills workshopand the Samande Juggling show.

Wednesday 14th August 2013 – 11:30 am- 1:00pm -Pirates – The Pirates!! In an adventure with Scientists.

Pirate Captain, trying to prove himself to the crew and make an name for himself on the seas enters the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. However with a rag – tag crew, impossible odds and a rival pirate Black Bellamy against him, will Pirate Captain win the award.

Theme activities: 1 face painter and 1 temporary tattooist and an amazing Pirate ship. Join Peter Pan with Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Crocodile and Captain Hook. Watch out for the Pirate Pandemonium Show.

Wednesday 21st August 2013- 11:30am – 12:45pm – Mad hatters Tea Party – Alice in Wonderland.

Join Alice as she goes down the rabbit hole as she begins an magical adventure into Wonderland. In this classic Disney film, she meets magical creatures, such as the Mad Hatter, Cheshire cat and the Queen of Hearts.

Theme Activities: Face painters, Join the Mad Hatter and Alice for a spot of tea and watch out for the King and Queenof Hearts,Knave of Hearts and White Rabbit.

Wednesday 28th August 2013 – 11:30am – 1:10pm – Seaside– Finding Nemo.

(This film will contain subtitles)

Nemo is a curious clown fish who lives with his overprotective father Marlin. Nemo becomes separated from Marlin and taken away by a scuba diver. Marlin with help from a friendly but forgetful fish named Dory go on a quest to save Nemo and travel across the Great Barrier reef, meeting wonderful characters and getting into dangerous situations in order to find Nemo.

Theme Activities: Face painters, Mr Topper and Nobby Gnome – Ventriloquist Seaside show, Punch and Judy show. Look out for Saucy Seaside Sid. Have your photo taken as a Seaside postcard.

The Film screenings will go ahead whatever the weather. There is some natural seating around the screen, but film   fans are advised to bring fold up chairs. These film screenings are free to attend. These Bradford UNESCO city of film screenings will take part on the Big screen in Bradford City Park in partnership with Bradford City Council.

Dates: Every Wednesday Morning in August.
